-- The Motlow Smyrna Education Department will host a PRAXIS CORE Exam Workshop
from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 25 (Thursday) for
students majoring in education.
Students
pursuing the AST degree in Elementary (K-5) or Early Childhood (pre k - 3)
Education must pass the PRAXIS exam prior to graduating with the degree. Other
students seeking a transfer degree in education must pass the PRAXIS prior to
being admitted to their university's Teacher Education Program.
Students
who made a 22 on the ACT exam are exempt from taking the PRAXIS CORE exam.
Students planning to attend Tennessee Tech are exempt from the PRAXIS CORE with
a score of 21 or higher on the ACT exam.
