SMYRNA, Tenn. – Motlow artists of
all kinds are invited to audition for the opportunity to perform at the second
annual “Motlow Smyrna Talent Show,”
a spring community event sponsored by the Smyrna Entertainment, Arts and Media
Club.
The auditions will occur from
2-3 p.m. on April 15 and 17 (Monday and Wednesday) in Room 201 of the MaryLou
Apple Building. Artists will be asked to demonstrate their talents with a one
to three-minute presentation. The classroom is equipped with a computer,
overhead and piano. Individuals who have performed at a previous show are not

The “Motlow Smyrna Talent Show”
will spotlight singers, songwriters, poets, comedians, musicians, storytellers,
dancers, visual artists, and others from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. April 24 (Wednesday)
in the lobby of the MaryLou Apple Building. The free event will be emceed by Professor
Nick Bush, with support from the Tech and Maintenance staffs.
“Members of SEAM Club have been
planning the talent show since the last one, and they are excited to see it come to
fruition,” said SEAM Club President Alara Bishop. “The show was created to give
students and others the opportunity to share their talents with the Motlow
Smyrna community.”
SEAM is the club on Motlow’s Smyrna
campus that is dedicated to discussing, exploring and consuming various types
of entertainment, arts and media. The club has sponsored other events such as “Dance
Across The Decades” and the “Motlow Smyrna Holiday Show.”
